Lizzy and AJ’s wedding at Oakview Acres was one of my favorite fall weddings. Out of four October weddings last fall, this was the only one without rain. We were actually blessed with clear blue skies and beautiful warm sun. The day really couldn’t have been more perfect.
Oakview Acres provided an amazing backdrop for their ceremony and reception. This venue boasts a beautiful rustic barn with views of Mount Hood. There were so many perfect spots for photos throughout the day. Shooting this whole day was SO fun! Their wedding party made me feel like I had been a lifelong friend. Each and every one of the bridesmaids and groomsmen was so supportive and helpful to Lizzy and AJ. They were down to shoot photos, dance all night long, and cheer on their sweet friends all day.
I knew it was really important to Lizzy and AJ to have the day unfold as naturally as possible. They wanted to be as fully present with each other and their guests as much as possible. On our final call before the wedding, I remember Lizzy telling me she wasn’t worried about wanting having things go “perfectly” or getting the “perfect shot”. The whole day was just so calm and fun. I really feel like the day so calm and relaxing because the tone Lizzy and AJ were intentional about setting that day.
Lizzy and AJ have such beautiful hearts. They love Jesus and each other so well. Each has such a loving and kind tenderness to those around them. Lizzy’s smile just completely lights up a room. She is truly beautiful on the inside AND out. It was truly an honoring walking through this day with them!
