I loved being part of this dreamy winter wedding styled shoot at Cedar Valley Forest. Miranda Burt contacted me and asked if I’d like to be the photographer for her shoot. I immediately jumped on the opportunity! This was the first time I’d be able to meet fellow vendors in the Kansas City area so I was pumped.
When we first moved to the Kansas City area I knew we would only be there for 10 months. It’s super hard getting the motivation and courage to reach out to fellow wedding vendors and try to make connections. But, in this business connection is everything! I felt so grateful for Miranda’s trust and graciousness asking me to join her.
Miranda’s Set Up
Miranda is a wedding coordinator and is AMAZING. She planned every single detail of this shoot. She went above and beyond communication and planning. I knew exactly what to expect and which other vendors were going to be participating. Cedar Valley Forest was kind enough to host the shoot and Kayla and Tyler modeled for us! Miranda had a full elopement table, cake, stationery, florals, dress….everything you could think of for this styled shoot.
I started off the day shooting wedding details including stationery, cake, dress, and venue. Then we moved into shooting wedding portraits closer to sunset hours. We were able to walk around the beautiful venue at Cedar Valley and even found a grove of Christmas trees to shoot. The grounds at Cedar Valley are absolutely stunning. If you’re looking for a venue with indoor and outdoor options, this would be one I highly recommend! There are several places to host your ceremony and if it rains you’ve got a beautiful barn as a back up option.
