Wedding Day

This wedding at Columbia Winery was the perfect spring wedding. In early April Selina and Samuel celebrated their special day with their friends and family. Spring weddings in the PNW are always hit or miss regarding the weather. On this day though, we got extra lucky and had sun! We couldn’t have asked for better weather.

The wedding day moved along smoothly and steadily without any hiccups. I have to credit the most amazing planner, Rachel at Ohana Events for organizing all the behind the scenes and details of the day. I know a lot of photographers that have stepped away from shooting larger weddings simply due to the extra stress of all the moving parts. But, I still really enjoy celebrating with couples with a large wedding! The key to a smooth and relaxing wedding, no matter the size, is definitely having an amazing planner and coordinator in your corner.

The Couple

I always say I get spoiled with working with the best couples and I’m not lying! Selina and Sam were so amazing to work with from day one. I’ve been a nurse for almost ten years now, and whenever I get to work with couples who are also in the medical field, it feels extra special. I need to brag on this couple even more though. The day of the wedding, both were so relaxed and calm the entire day. They went out of their way to make sure I was fed and had water. Selina and Sam also were intentional in being able to take time in the day to enjoy one another. They created a space where photos weren’t rushed and with time to sit and enjoy their bridal party. During speeches they even gave a shout out to all the vendors who helped bring their day together!
