Spada Lake

This Spada Lake engagement was one of my favorite couple sessions of all time. Hunter and Lexi suggested Spada for the backdrop of their engagement photos and I couldn’t be happier that we ended up shooting there. Spada Lake is the perfect spot for hiking, fishing, boating, picnicking and of course engagement shoots! I know it’s important to explore new areas but sometimes it’s hard showing up to an area never being there before. It makes it difficult at times to know the best spots for the photos or where the sun sets. Let me tell you, Spada Lake has it ALL. This is the perfect spot for engagement photos!

The Couple

Hunter and Lexi have turned into the sweetest friends. I’ve now shot their engagement and wedding. I first connected with them through another couple that had booked me for a wedding last year. Whenever I have brides send me their friends it is absolutely the biggest honor. And, it’s super fun to get to see my favorite couples again and again. Friend referrals are where it’s at!! Lexi and Hunter are now expecting their first little babe and I can’t wait for them to become the most amazing parents.

One of my favorite things about Lexi and Hunter are how good natured they both are. They are relaxed, go with the flow and love Jesus! It’s always so refreshing to meet a couple that is not only kind but actually out of their way friendly to those around them. We had the chance to drive together up to Spada Lake and I wouldn’t trade that time with them for anything. They treated me to coffee (cue the tears of thankfulness!) and we had the best time swapping stories and getting to know each other even better. I honestly felt like a life long friend when I showed up to their wedding.
