Cannon Beach

This Cannon Beach elopement with Anni and Bill was my last wedding of 2021. It was DEFINITELY bittersweet. If you’re not from the PNW, Cannon Beach is one of Oregon’s most famous beaches. There is a long sandy shore with tides that pull the waves in and out so perfectly. Haystack Rock stands large and proud at 235 ft. and is a popular tourist stop. The town is adorable and speckled with small business shops filled with trinkets, toys and treats. It’s a total vibe just walking around this coastal town.

Anni and Bill

I connected with Anni and Bill through a mutual acquaintance in the medical field. Apparently the nursing & medial world is a small one and I’m so grateful for that! I was immediately drawn to this amazing couple. Both of them working full time, taking care of kids AND planning a wedding is enough to make any head spin. Also, side note…Bill is legitimately a rocket scientist. So, if that doesn’t impress you, nothing will. But also, shout out to Anni who is a nurse. And, nurses are my favorite people!!

The day before this Cannon Beach elopement, the sky was completely filled with smoke (2020 OR fires-yikes!). You couldn’t see three feet in front of you and certainly not Haystack Rock. Miracles do happen though and the next day we had a beautiful mix of rain in the morning and then the skies cleared for a sunny ceremony and moody sunset.

We kicked off our time together at Cannon Beach for the first look and ceremony. Then we meandered down to Hug Point for the sunset. I didn’t know upon booking that this elopement was a complete secret. Anni and Bill had not told any of their families. I was shook AND humbled. I felt incredibly lucky to be in a place where I could capture this intimate and joyous celebration with the two of them. It’s a day I’ll never forget. It was my last wedding of 2021 and I couldn’t have asked to spend it with a more down to earth, fun-loving couple.

Anni and Bill-thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing me as your photographer. I will never forget you or our time together. I love your spunkiness and sweetness. You’re literally the perfect combination all wrapped into one!
